On December 8, 2017 in Almaty in a solemn atmosphere, the ceremony of signing the Code of Ethics of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The signing was attended by the chief specialist of the Department of the Pharmacy Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Almaty Mrs Sultanbaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the IPR and OYL “National Chamber of Health” A.A. Kuanysheva, deputy head of the Public Health Department of the Almaty Committee for Public Health Protection of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.K. Birzhanov, Executive Director of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) V.I. Shipkov, President of the Association for Support and Development of Pharmacological Activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan M.I. Durmanova, Executive Director of the Association of Pharmaceutical Distributors of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Gunco, as well as distributors, managers and representatives of pharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers and the medical community.

As the President of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazachstan Mr. V.N. Lokshin, opening the ceremony of signing the code, gathered in the hall those who are interested in the theme of ethical promotion.

– In the light of changing events occurring in the country, changes in legislation and taking into account the international marketing experience, the Association decided to adopt a more stringent Code of Ethics. Therefore, today we invited all participants of the country’s drug provision for signing it.

The ethical code of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan is developed on the basis of international codes of marketing practice adopted in the research pharmaceutical industry, taking into account the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and reflects the ethical standards that all AMPP members must follow when implementing the Promotion and Marketing of Pharmaceutical Products in the Republic Kazakhstan.

46 AMPF member companies signed a new edition of the Code of Good Practice – 2017.

Welcoming this initiative, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Birtanov emphasized that the ethical code that sets high ethical standards for the activity of pharmaceutical companies deserves the closest consideration not only from the companies-members of the Association, but also from other representatives of the pharmaceutical community, medical professional associations and bodies, regulating this field of activity.

At the moment, everyone wishing to sign the Code of Ethics is the first and important step that will increase the responsibility of all parties involved in the process of providing the population with quality and effective medicines and protect the patient’s personality. The Code of Ethics is open for signing by domestic manufacturers, professional Associations and medical organizations.
