Ministry of Health published a public call for hospitals on Tuesday, October 2015 to submit their project proposals for investments in day clinics and day surgeries where patients will be able to receive better diagnostic services and be treated using most recent methods. Projects will be financed from a 625,3 million kuna budget which is available for this particular purpose.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, 85% of each project will be co-financed by the EU funds and 15% will come from the state budget. Ministry expects these new day clinics to reduce hospitalization days and sick leaves as well as current waiting lists.
Construction, reconstruction, annexes and adaptations of current hospital areas for the needs of day clinics and day surgeries will be financed in this project, as well as necessary technical and medical equipment, This public call also includes an investment scheme for for an ongoing investment in the education of staff, reports Total Croatia News.
